Ranbir Kapoor, a renowned Bollywood actor, faced backlash after a video surfaced of him throwing a fan’s phone following repeated attempts by the fan to take a photo. The incident occurred in Mumbai and came to the knowledge when the famous BTown Instagram page Viral Bhayani posted a video on its official page. In the video, we can see Ranbir mobbed by a fan and when the fan tries to take a good picture of him and Ranbir together multiple times, Ranbir gets irritated and throws his phone out and the video ends suddenly. This incident sparked anger among netizens and Ranbir received lots of criticism on social media.

Netizens voiced their dissatisfaction with Kapoor’s behavior and demanded an apology. Some even find it shocking that Ranbir should be more responsible for his action as he’s a public figure and this act was pathetic enough. He was labeled as hubristic, arrogant, and ill-mannered. Even many renowned News channels like Times Now, NDTV, and Free Press Journal criticize this incident and show their disappointment towards the actor.

But all this chaos came out to be a promotional gimmick for the upcoming Oppo Reno8 T 5G. Oppo released a post on their official Instagram page where we can see the extended part of the previous video. In the extended part of the campaign, we witness an unexpected twist that cleared all rage, anger, and fire among netizens. In the previous video we saw Ranbir throwing the phone of the fan but in the extended part, as soon as Ranbir threw the phone, of the fan, immediately he came up with the Oppo Reno8 T 5G and gift it to the fan. Then they both click a picture with all glee and smiling faces. It was all a part of the campaign and this whole incident was preplanned and scripted. People find this campaign strategy brilliant, hilarious, and also sympathetic for Ranbir Kapoor as people barked at him like anything, before and made him look like an emotionless-arrogant actor who doesn’t respect his fans.
