Gaurav Mehta Steps Down as CMO of Noise

Gaurav Mehta, who served as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Noise, a leading Indian connected lifestyle tech brand, has recently departed from the company. The news was confirmed on March 25, 2024.

Gaurav Mehta’s Tenure at Noise

Gaurav Mehta joined Noise in March 2023 and was tasked with leading the company’s marketing efforts to solidify its position as a market leader and fuel further growth. He brought over two decades of experience in marketing, having worked with prominent brands like Yahoo, OLX, CarDekho, and Zupee.

Utsav Malhotra Oversees Business Strategy and Marketing

Utsav Malhotra, Noise’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), has assumed temporary responsibility for the company’s business strategy, operations, and marketing initiatives following Mehta’s departure.

Gaurav Mehta’s Career Highlights

Prior to Noise, Mehta held leadership positions in the marketing function across various sectors, including technology, IT, and online gaming. During his stint at Yahoo, he managed the largest revenue-generating group and oversaw key verticals like travel, government, education, and real estate.

Noise’s Recent Funding and Growth

In December 2023, Noise secured $10 million in funding from Bose Corporation, a US-based audio equipment giant. This investment valued the company at approximately $420 million. Founded in 2014, Noise has established itself as a prominent player in the wearables market.

The company’s CEO and co-founder, Gaurav Khatri, expressed enthusiasm about the Bose partnership and said, “This isn’t just about funding; it’s about synergy: two tech giants, united by a passion for innovation, coming together to reimagine the future of smart wearables.”

He added, “Think premium-segment products, cutting-edge tech, and a commitment to democratising the best possible experience… We’re talking about unlocking new markets, pushing boundaries, and making some serious Noise in the world.”

While the reasons behind Mehta’s departure remain undisclosed, Noise appears well-positioned for continued growth with Malhotra at the helm of its marketing and business strategy.
