According to a report by The Economic Times (ET), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has purportedly chosen advertising firms McCann Worldgroup and Scarecrow M&C Saatchi to spearhead its creative advertising endeavors for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election in 2024.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reportedly chosen McCann Worldgroup and Scarecrow M&C Saatchi to lead its creative advertising efforts for the Lok Sabha election 2024, as per The Economic Times (ET).

Division of Creative Responsibilities:

Creative responsibilities are expected to be divided between McCann Worldgroup-TAG and Scarecrow M&C Saatchi. The involvement of other contenders like Ogilvy and Efficacy remains uncertain.

Other Campaign Initiatives:

Apart from creative advertising, the BJP is reportedly selecting independent agencies for various purposes including data-driven tech, digital advertising, regional campaigns, outdoor advertising, influencer-led initiatives, and social media outreach. Internal communication teams are also actively involved.

Recent Communication Efforts:

Recent communication efforts include individual WhatsApp messages sent under the name Viksit Bharat Sampark, featuring a letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighting government initiatives and seeking feedback from voters.

Congress Party’s Campaign:

The Congress party has entrusted DDB Mudra with leading its election campaign for the 2024 general elections.

Estimated Expenditure:

The BJP’s expenditure for the 2019 general election was estimated at Rs. 27,000 crore by the Centre for Media Studies.

Voter Base and Election Schedule:

India’s voter base stands at 968 million voters, with 18 million first-time voters aged between 18 and 19. The Lok Sabha elections 2024 for 543 seats will be conducted in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, with vote counting scheduled for June 4.
