10 Startups with escalating revenue after appearing in Shark Tank

“Yeh Sab Doglapan Hai”, “Yeh Meri Expertise Nhi Hai, I’m out”, “Bilkul Bakwass Hai Yeh, Aap Band Krdo isse”, you must have gone through these famous dialogues of Shark Tank, as their fame wave down like fire through almost every Indian house. But Shark Tank’s dialogue is not the only thing that got excess popularity among all the startups that came to the show few startups got a whole gear to turn to their startup and currently they are on escalating revenues through appearances in Shark Tank.

Top 10 Startups with Escalating revenue after appearing in Shark Tank

1. Skippi Ice Pops

Ravi Kabra and Anuja Kabra were the two brains behind the idea of “Skippi Ice Pops“. They claim it to be India’s First Ice Pop brand that is manufactured with 100% RO purified water, organic color, and varieties of flavors. Skippie came to Shark Tank S1 and received investment from all five Sharks. Skippie was able to hit the deal of Rs 1 Crore in exchange for 15% equity.

Before appearing on Shark Tank, its monthly earning was Rs 4-5 Lakh with 150 website visits daily but after appearing on Shark Tank its monthly earnings jumped to Rs 70 lakh with 6000-8000 website visitors daily. It has even wide its business through countries like Dubai, Hong Kong, Nepal, and Kuwait.

2. The Sass Bar

The Sass Bar founder Rishika Nayak came to Shark Tank S1 with an adorable idea for all the Vegans outs there. The Sass Bar is a luxury soap brand that work on the creativity of Moulding their soap in shapes of yummy desserts like cupcake and pastries.

Rishika was able to pitch two of the shark, Anupam Mittal and Ghazal Alagh, to invest Rs 50 lakhs for 35% of equity. After the appearance in Shark Tank, The Sass Bar rosed its sale to Rs 10-20 lakhs from 6 lakhs.

3.Get-A-Whey

Get-A-Whey is a domestic business started by sons Jash Shah, daughter Pashmi Shah, and Mother Jimmy Shah is India’s first healthy ice cream. They were able to pitch three sharks, Ashneer Grover, Vineeta Singh, and Aman Gupta in Shark Tank S1.

Before Shark Tank, Get-A-Whey’s monthly revenue was Rs 20 lakh which hooped to Rs 80 lakh- 1 Crore. They expanded to 19 cities covering the Middle east and Europe.

4. Auli Lifestyle

Auli Lifestyle is founded by Aishwarya Biswas and it’s an ayurvedic beauty product. It came to Shark Tank S1 and pitched for Rs 75 lakhs for 4% but lock the deal at Rs 75 lakhs for 15% with the investment of Shark Namita Thapar.

Before appearing to Shark Tank, Auli Lifestyle monthly sales was Rs 10-20 lakhs but after Shark Tank, they escalated to Rs 30-35 lakhs with international exports.

5. Brain Wired

Founded by Sreeshankar S Nair and Romeo P Jerard, came up with an innovative idea as an Agro-Tech startup. Brain Wired is a machine-learning device for livestock health. They were successful to score an investment of Rs 60 lakhs for 10% equity from three sharks, Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, and Ashneer Grover.

Before investment from sharks, the brand monthly sales was Rs 1-2 lakhs whereas after shark tank, they escalated to Rs 35 lakhs and are preparing for international exports.

6. Hammer

Hammer Lifestyle is an FMEG brand that deals with electronics and gadgets founded by Rohit Nandwani. The brand includes gadgets such as wireless earbuds, wireless headphones, and smartwatches. Sharks were impressed by this startup, especially Aman Gupta, who himself owns a prominent FMEC brand, “BOAT” and in fact, he was the only shark to invest Rs 1 Crore for 40% equity.

Before appearing to shark tank, brand monthly sales was Rs 70 lakhs but after investment from Sharks, the sales jumped on to Rs 2 crore avg.

7. Quirky Naari

A Fashion eye can only see World through Fashion lenses and founder of Quirky Naari, Malvica Saxena knew this very well. Quirky Naari is a fashion startup that makes Handmade printed Bridal Shoes, jackets, denims and other funky stuff.

This idea was liked most by two of the sharks, Vineeta Singh and Anupam Mittal and they invested Rs 35 lakhs for 5% of equity.

Before Quirky Naari appeared on Shark Tank, its monthly sales were Rs 3 lakhs but after investment by sharks, monthly sales of Quirky Naari escalated to 3-7.5 lakhs with international orders. She even has recently launched 25-30 SKUs and opened her own office.

8. In A Can Cocktail

Sameer Mirajkar and Viraj Sawant thought to spark your party healthily and presented their brands at Shark Tank S1. Their startup “In a Can Cocktail” deal with low calories drinks packed in can including gin, whiskey, Collins, rum, LIIT, and Vodka.

They pitch for Rs 50 Lakh for 2% equity but four sharks, Ashneer Grover, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar and Anupam Mittal locked the deal with Rs 1 crore for 10% equity.

 9. Annie – Braille Literary Device

Aman, Dilip, Sanskriti, and Saif came up with a very progressive and societal welfare idea to create a Self-Learning Device for blind students. Annie is India’s first Self-Learning Braille Literacy Device. This idea ticks the checklist to impress sharks and three sharks come front to invest in this, Namita Thapar, Anupam Mittal, and Peyush Bansal.

The deal was locked at Rs 1.05 crore for 3% equity with a current valuation of Rs 60 crore. This Device has started circulating to many blind schools and special learning schools and universities and even started taking international orders.’

10. Heart Up My Sleeves

Have you ever thought of how sleeves can add to your fashion game? Well, somebody did think about it and started a startup of detachable sleeves. Delhi-based Riya Khattar started Heart Up My Sleeves which produces fancy, reusable, and sustainable sleeves that can be detached and attached to any dress.

Two Sharks showed Interest in this deal, Vineeta Singh and Anupam Mittal, and locked this deal at Rs 25 lakhs for 30% equity. Before this investment via sharks, the brand had monthly sales of Rs 1.5-2 lakhs but after this investment, it increased to Rs 6-7 lakhs by grabbing the opportunity to distribute its product on Nykaa Fashion, Myntra, etc.

Shark Tank Season 1 gave us some of the iconic startup ideas of all time and proved to be one of the major boosting engines for lots of great startups. With amazing memes, skilled entrepreneurs, and startup ideas, shark Tank also gave us a platform and motivation to go with our startup dream and give it a try. Shark Tank season 2 is about air on Sony TV in December 2022. But this time, some of our old sharks will be missing. One of them is our very favorite “Ashneer Grover”. Ashneer will not be seen being the part of Shark Tank S2, reasons are still haven’t revealed yet. But you are going to see a new judge joining the panel. Amit Jain, CEO, and co-founder of “CarDekho” will be seen as the new shark of Shark Tank S2. So, let’s wait for the next season of startups, ideas, and innovation but no doglapan this time.
