MakeMyTrip launches new campaign featuring Rocky and Rani

After their recent success in “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s characters, featured in MakeMyTrip new campaign, embark on an exhilarating skydiving adventure during their honeymoon. Yet, just before the jump, they surprisingly turn into penny pinchers.

Rocky and Rani craze over MakeMyTrip

In the wake of their recent success in “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” the characters portrayed by Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are back in MakeMyTrip’s new ad. In the spot, they’re on an adventurous skydiving expedition during their honeymoon but surprisingly become frugal at the last moment.

Originally, Singh was set to skydive with the instructor, but Bhatt also wanted to experience the thrill. She suggests she’ll sit on her husband’s lap, leaving the instructor bewildered. The couple begins bargaining with him, leaving him dumbfounded, and he jumps off without them.

The humorous twist comes when they propose using a chadar-turned-parachute for Bhatt. The ad humorously implies that the couple had spent all their money on the hotel and had little left for creating lasting memories, hence the negotiation with the skydiving instructor.

MakeMyTrip offers a flat 20% discount on the first hotel booking.

While MakeMyTrip didn’t acquire the movie character rights for the ad, Singh’s mannerisms and Bhatt’s attire make the connection unmistakable.
